OG;   Arghhh.  Please let us know what doc says.  Strep throat?  :-(

Lindybird: Glad OH is more comfortable.

Diane:  Watching the transit on Slooh .The live cam at Griffith Observatory in LA is working too but they keeping losing the sun behind all the fog!

I hope that OG has had some good advice/ prescription from the doc.
You are so right, LINDY. I had completely lost the plot, worrying about dust in the house and apples on the ground and leaves to be swept up and so on and so forth. Life is too short for all that stuff. I will do what I can, when I can and keep smiling!

Heather - The most important thing is to enjoy your time with your friends. IF - and yes, I meant that to be in capitals - IF there is some dust and leaves, they will still be there when your friends have returned home. Enjoy your time with them and sort out the rest when life returns to normal. Hope you have a wonderful time with them.

OG - Do hope the doctor can sort you out quickly.

Lindy - Glad your OH has now had his stitches removed. Some people heal very quickly (I do!) and they do seem to leave stitches in longer than they used to. Hopefully any residual limp, which I'm sure will soon go, won't affect his golf swing!

Heather - we are all the same , wanting things to be perfect, but all your Friends want is to spend time with you. Forget about everything else and just enjoy your time with them.

Heather - If only that were possible! But we know it's not, so we have to accept that and do the best we can, but leaving room for some enjoyment as well. Life should not be a chore!

Saw nurse, not doc, but she got him to sign prescription for ABs. Doc is giving J something to help restore his appetite and gut health - OH has to collect that script tomorrow.

OG, Hope you will all soon be on the mend.
