Gardenbirder: I'm so very glad you're having a good time on your travels here in the states. The Birds in Art exhibition sounds wonderful! You had a good day birding. I have a pair of Red-Bellied Woodpeckers and a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers here on my patch. I love them. Perfect that you saw an Osprey! Woo-Hoo! Feel free to tell us about your trip to Alaska when you return. I've always wanted to visit Alaska. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Safe journey!

Good Morning. Dry here. I agree with Diane. Gardenbirders trip sounds wonderful. Hope we get to hear about Alaska! I wake every day now thinking "We're going!!" as I'm so thrilled about our forthcoming trip. Its been a lifetime ambition to see that part of the world. Don't think I'll need my beachwear this time, so there'll be room for you to stow away in my suitcase with my walking boots, AQ!! We managed to get two cabins next door to each other, on the port side, which is where we'll be able to see the coast best, because we booked so early. Yes, Annette, we will go straight from the UK, so no flying. Thanks for your good wishes, Diane -- I promise to take lots of pics & tell you all about it. A pottering day here, so must come down to earth now and get things done.
Big crowd here tomorrow, well - depends what is a big crowd. Currently, about 20. Shopping this afternoon, flicking a duster about and so on. Son on his way up from Shropshire, will arrive this afternoon. I'll catch up with you all early next week.....
