The season continues almost as it started - devoid of ospreys, but now we are even devoid of an empty nest. Should we feel sorry for ourselves we should think of the VC staff and volunteers, whose cam connection was taken down by lightning.
Here's hoping there will be good news today.

I wonder if Groundhogs might not have much of a sense of smell! Also seems some Badgers are unafraid of Skunks and some are afraid. The Skunk gave way to a Badger at one point and later a Badger gave way to a Skunk.

We need Smellovision to tell whether it sprayed or merely threatened ;)
No badgers, Catlady, just Opossum and Raccoon besides the Skunk and Grounhog (I call it Woodchuck because that's what Scott, the cam owner, called it - I had to google it and only then discovered that it was the same as a Groundhog). It's only a few days ago that it came to the feeders for the first time, it's been getting braver nightly ;)
I have emailed Peter about the cam.
Kind regards, Ann

Love it! ;-D

Yes it is Wendy, I mentioned in my post that I watched it via the i-player. Ian
I'm glad to see fellow members having brain malfunctions, it makes me feel less outlandish ;)
I may have found a way to pick up the cam automatically but am not certain it's working. Between 14:55 and 14:59 there were 4 18-second downloads but they appear to be still pictures - maybe Peter was trying to get it restarted.
The cam is now up.
