The season continues almost as it started - devoid of ospreys, but now we are even devoid of an empty nest. Should we feel sorry for ourselves we should think of the VC staff and volunteers, whose cam connection was taken down by lightning.
Here's hoping there will be good news today.

In memoriam:
IMAGICAT
The osprey was on the perch tree for nearly 6 minutes, during which time there was a flyover which it objected to.
(Reduced to 45 seconds, the perching osprey was inactive apart from the mantling.)
EDITING IN VIDEO:
The flyover - we saw more shadow than the bird itself:
It's up and down and up and down. Trouble is, it's no good refreshing the page, one has to go back to the link on the Carnyx channel... but it's not staying up for more than a minute each time.
EDIT - it's partly to do with a sudden change in the behaviour of the browser I've been using the whole season! Have ended up with Internet Explorer now!
Very much looking foward to BIRDIE's LG pics and comments from her visit yesterday :)))
In the meantime, as far as I can tell the cam went down yesterday evening:
I've been checking all over the place including Carnyx.tv.
"4 minutes ago" refers to nighttime black screen.
The cam is up. If you roll back on YT it looks as tho it's been running smoothly since yesterday, this is all beyond me.
I decided to try a timeline within the frame so that it stayed at 16:9 instead of getting distorted by the bar outside across the bottom. It's just a spearmint ;)
Good night !!!
Birdies LG DU update.
Kind regards, Ann
