The season so far: Telyn (Blue 3J) arrived back 30 March and Monty on 1 April. Telyn laid 3 eggs 17, 20 and 23 April hatching 26, 27 and 29 May. The three chicks were ringed and named on 28 June as follows: #1 Blue KA1 (F) “Berthyn”, #2 Blue KA2 (M) “Peris” and #3 Blue KA3 (M) “Hesgyn”. Peris aged 52 days fledged first on 18 July followed by Berthyn aged 54 days on 20 July and finally Hesgyn aged 53 days fledged on 21 July.
August has now arrived and the migration window opens. Teyln and Monty have done a fantastic job raising these three beautiful young ospreys ensuring they have had the best start in life to undertake their first migration. So until such times they go their independent ways and head off south, enjoy!

Good morning! I managed to do a catchup download but it's very difficult to extract stuff from this particular software. However:
Bethyn was first in:
She soon disappeared thisaway:
She reappeared on the birch perch:
Back to the nest and Monty brought her a fish:
She ate some and flew off with the rest.
Then this scene, with one on each perch but I'm not sure which is which ;-D
Then they both disappeared.

This must have been before LIMPY (thanks for snaps!) came on duty:
Berthyn suspected a fish:
She got one, a small flounder, but before she finished it she spotted someone/thing and flew up over the cam - and here are too many snaps commemorating:
That was up to about 15:30

I didn't get started again until 19:00, after which there was almost no activity :(
The corvids had a good play tho:
And later Berthyn flew in from afar and waited a while but Monty didn't show up, so off she flew in a blur:

Bore da,
Unfortunately we have had a few technical issues this morning, we have now got to the cause of the problem and have discovered that due to a miscommunication with our broad-band provider the internet service to DOP has been prematurely disconnected.
This means that we are now unable to continue the live streaming and have no access to anything web based from the office. However, the cameras are still working and we will continue to keep you posted as best we can.
This picture of Berthyn and Monty on the nest was taken less than an hour ago just after they had shared a flounder for breakfast.
DOP will close as planned tomorrow at 5.30pm and we will continue to monitor the cameras for as long as we can.
Sad to think they are closing when osprey are still around, but I guess it is all part of the schedule for the new build, or which I know little.
