The season so far: Telyn (Blue 3J) arrived back 30 March and Monty on 1 April. Telyn laid 3 eggs 17, 20 and 23 April hatching 26, 27 and 29 May. The three chicks were ringed and named on 28 June as follows: #1 Blue KA1 (F) “Berthyn”, #2 Blue KA2 (M) “Peris” and #3 Blue KA3 (M) “Hesgyn”. Peris aged 52 days fledged first on 18 July followed by Berthyn aged 54 days on 20 July and finally Hesgyn aged 53 days fledged on 21 July.
August has now arrived and the migration window opens. Teyln and Monty have done a fantastic job raising these three beautiful young ospreys ensuring they have had the best start in life to undertake their first migration. So until such times they go their independent ways and head off south, enjoy!

I was struck by the juvies' harmony.
Monty with fish:
Berthyn and Hesgyn sat nicely...
...while Peris ate.
He left some for one of the others but there wasn't a close enough view.
Monty with another fine fish:
The same pattern of behaviour, with 2 sitting patiently while the other eats:
That fish definitely got passed down the line thru the 3 of them :)
Whoever this was disappeared out of the top of the pic:
And a Dyfi Special poo descended:
Whoever was on the perch flew @ about 20:00:
And a couple of corvids picked over the nest:
20:15-00:15
Two became three:
Until an indignant Berthyn(?) flew in from afar and scared them off... almost ;)
After that scene cleared an osp flew in from approx where indicated - but that's only the first sighting I got of it as a speck, it was much duller than the snap:
Still there at nightcam (also brightened):
Still no sign of Telyn, as far as I am concerned. Last year she was here until 28 August, I must have missed her today... yet Lassie LF15 has left rather early this season.
Egg-laying* was completed 5 days earlier this year, if it means anything ;)
*Thanks to Imagicat :)
Good morning, PATILY :)
About 05:40 someone flew to the perch:
20 minutes later Monty brought a fish (he seemed to rise from below, I couldn't see where he flew in from) - only 2 juvies greeted it, so is that another juvie or Telyn on the perch?
