The season so far: LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4, 7 and 10 April hatching 11, 12 and 16 May. Sadly on 26 May tragedy struck and the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26 June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M) and #2 Blue PT5 (M). Ringing Blog
6th July PT5 fledged
7th July PT4 fledged
Both juveniles have been seen attempting to fish in the Loch. PT4 was successful on 23rd July
Lassie (LF15) has not been recorded as being seen on the nest since early morning on the 25th July - though this requires confirmation from the Lowes team

You're welcome Starling 11:10 PT4 is still munching his way through the fish, though has taken breaks from eating. I'd love to see PT5 come to the nest to have some of it as there's still a sizeable amount left!

13:35 PT4 still with his fish, over 4 hours after delivery
No visits to the nest from either Laddie or PT5. A crow did chance its luck at one stage but PT4 wasn't having any of it
14:32 PT4, just over 5 hours now with his fish
Stretching his wings
It's extremely quiet around the Loch
15:54 Six and a half hours exactly! Is this a record? lol
16:30 PT5 landed on the nest while PT4 still had hold of his 9:24 fish
After a while, PT5 did make an attempt to steal the remainder but PT4 was having none of it, in fact it made him eat with more gusto!
17:17 At last, PT4 finally steps away from his morning fish! Well done PT5!
Almost eight hours since the fish was delivered!
17:31 PT5 struggled to tear some of the skin, it must be as tough as old boots by now! The flesh appears to be still easy for him to eat
Cam zoomed in
17:48 After doing a few practice flaps and jumps across then nest, PT4 finally leaves. PT5 continues to eat
17:50 Dealing with a cheeky crow
17:58 PT5 had shooed off the crow but began to defend as a 'bird' flew on the right side (it appeared as a 'white' blur
18:02 Watching and waiting (crow on a branch behind the nest)
Hi Patily, PT5 looked very hungry (sunken crop) when he first landed on the nest. I shouldn't think PT4 will want anything more to eat today! PT5 flew from the nest at 18:16 and the crow took his opportunity to clean up any scraps
