The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. The four chicks were ringed on 21 June as follows: #1 Blue 054 (F), #2 Blue 055 (M), #3 Blue 056 (M) and #4 Blue 057 (F). Further details of their vital statistics can be found here.

33 has just delivered a whopper
Maya arrives and takes the fish from 33
055 snatches it from Maya. 057 arrives
33 flies off and 055 gets tucked in as Maya, 057 and 054 look on

All four on the nest -
L>R 055(with fish), 057, 056 and 054
056 moves over to steal the fish and gets a peck from 055
055 holds the fish and continues eating with 056 ready to pounce on it
057 now takes the fish as 055 wipes his beak
056 and 054 shout as 057 gets tucked in
054 who has been shouting since early afternoon moves over and picks up some bits and eats too
054 tried to steal but 057 warned her off. Few minutes later 056 takes the fish
056 now eats while 057 wipes her beak and 054 stands by
057 flies off and 054 waits - just hope 056 doesn't fly off with it!
Must go now but before I sign off an update and some mug shots from today
054 and 055 are now 78 days old
056 is 76 days old and
057 is 72 days old
