The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. The four chicks were ringed on 21 June as follows: #1 Blue 054 (F), #2 Blue 055 (M), #3 Blue 056 (M) and #4 Blue 057 (F). Further details of their vital statistics can be found here.

Some info about the algae bloom I mentioned earlier .. There has been an announcement "Rutland Water Visitor Information" that the Aqua Park and Beach are closed due to increased levels of blue green algae. Some restrictions for watersports but does not affect angling nor the Rutland Belle cruises. More info here
057 continues to eat and 055 has returned empty taloned so must have dropped his fish! He did attempt to steal from 057 but she warned him off.
Hopefully 054 can get herself forward for she did not have much earlier.

Many thanks for both noting and highlighting this. I hope there is no knock on effect for the fish in the area, and subsequently those that feed from them!
