MANTON BAY – JULY 2019

I’m filling in time between gardening in the muggy weather and stopping to check the tablet. Just a bit of cheekiness on my part.

Oh I had something urgent to do so have missed young 057 fledging Brilliant news really and as so many of us have said Maya and 33 have been a phenomenal team in raising these 4 beautiful chicks but, selfishly, it is somewhat disappointing for us to see an empty nest.
Hope 057 is enjoying her freedom and we see her safely back later,

I see there is a juvie on the side of the nest towards the back !!    Cannot +ID

After a moment, it popped up onto the nest and now having a rest  ....   057??

Karen it is 55, 57 is in the trees on the North shore.

Thanks Mike. So 057 has ventured from the cam perch! Good for her. Hope she stays safe and we'll see her later.

Hi all, so lovely to see all the enthusiasm for our project, keep up the keen eye! Apologies for not being able to get footage out to you, but it looks like Scylla was able to and that's fantastic! If ever there is data/facts and figures to amend, or info you would like to know, please please please do not be afraid to get in touch via our facebook page or ringing at the center, always happy to provide a quick update, as we can't always get official announcements out! What a season, 150th chick, a fully fledged nest of four... should I offer Maya and 33 champagne??

And I would like to add that it has been a privilege for us viewers watching Maya and 33 raise a family of four, the first I believe to be viewed on a public cam, and of course Blue 056, the 150 chick – what an achievement and proves just how successful this project has been.  Long may its success continue.
