On 1 July, chick 1 is 30 days old. Chick 2, from egg 3, is 27 days old.
Apart from the sad failure-to-hatch of egg 2 , everything has been reasonably settled on the nest, and Louis is in the running for Mary's 'Fisherman of the Year Award'.

Mallie showed off with a fish, Rannoch watched and preened:

Aila was on the nest, I assume eating the fish that Mallie was 'playing' with. Rannoch was squealing in delight as she did the houseworking, lifting, moving, placing sticks
A flap to celebrate moving the stick
and then another stick
17.04 Aila flew off
and after sorting out an itch
Rannoch got into a flap
Something caught her eye
and back to flapping
and for the past 12 minutes she has been preening

Is someone sitting on the sticky tree lower down, on the left side of the main trunk? Or is it a trick of the light? Is that where Louis has been spotted before?
Sheila, Louis has used this tree a lot (since 2017) but Mallie has also been using it (see my post at 14.35 today, page 48), so it could be either of them. Ian
Hi Sheila. If you mean the tree on the left, yes, I think I can see movement
