On 1 July, chick 1 is 30 days old. Chick 2, from egg 3, is 27 days old.
Apart from the sad failure-to-hatch of egg 2 , everything has been reasonably settled on the nest, and Louis is in the running for Mary's 'Fisherman of the Year Award'.

Mallie is the one that Lewis from WT thinks might (emphasis on might) be a boy. I agree there is not much doubt that Rannoch is a girl. Ian
18.43, nice big whole fish, Aila makes sure she gets it. Ian
EDIT - now feeding Rannoch.

JJ2 does a good job of demolishing this fish
About 21-10 Louis dropped in with a fair size whole fish....and just dumped it, right under a lying Rannoch's nose....and although she didn't initially leap to eat it, she certainly became very protective of the gains.

I did say I was addled, IAN, and I still am but will soldier on ;)
IMAGICAT
^^^ tries to imagine what an addled soldier who keeps pretty much to 'owl time' looks like
Rannoch is tucked under Aila again :)
Good fish:
Even better fish - shame it was dropped. The flyer-by was only seen in the distance after Aila flew.
No view before it landed:
I was so relieved to see Rannoch get up for the fish, she'd been lying down for so long:
This was the second attempt at this large juicy morsel, the first time it came back up from half-way down, this time it got discarded after hardly any attempt to swallow:
Aila took over and fed some to both, then they both lay down:
