WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY JUNE 16, 2019

  • Hello all, not been on for a while as nothing much to say.
Will read back but in the meantime love your decking with the plants on OG.
  • Pat O - that does sound really dire of the care she has been under recently. No care package is a no no and judging from the history you have given there should be one. One, unfortunately can only put it down to lack of staff in the community - what a sorry state we are in .

Annette - sounds like you have been busy, mind you getting paperwork etc in order is commendable.

AQ - hope nanny duty went off well, At least they are all growing up.

OG - glad to hear your oncology appt. went well. As to J - pity about the OT and falling out. Do hope the results are favourable for him.

At last we have had a couple of fine days - OH watching the World Cup all day today and was commentating at an day/evening match yesterday.
  • Finally got through reading all your news - have a good weekend all
  • Hello, LYNETTE! Looks like you were on your own here last night!

Not expecting to see a post from LINDA as she has a busy family weekend.

Decided we shan't go to the garden party at church - prefer to use the good weather in the garden - and being a fine day they should get a good turnout anyway, so we shan't be missed!
  • Just lost a post as I hadn't noticed that I'd been signed out again....
Oh well, at least I've had a break from the pressure washer, back to the grindstone!
  • HEATHER - how is your Daughter's foot?
  • Still painful, OG, she can take the strapping off tomorrow and is hoping that she will be able to go to work on Monday, in her old trainers tied loosely.... She feels under pressure to return to work. Three absences this year, all short ones. One chest infection, the plantar faciitis and now this. her boss felt it necessary to mention this to her, the morning after she had been to A and E ...

Given that her two jobs are as a school cleaner so on her feet all the time and using machinery I think that her employers are being less than understanding.

  • Think they are being very mean minded.
  • Morning all:

OG:  What a nice way to dress up a patio with all those pots.  And do I see a hint of plants attached to the walls higher up?

HI Lynette:   Good to see you.  :-)

Heather: I hate to hear of people working for such bosses.  Is it me or is it more common in those kinds of jobs?   :-(    I assume this is the daughter who's looking for one full-time position....   Do hope she manages to find something soon.

Two more houses went on the market in our neighborhood this week.  Can't believe what they're asking.  The realtors held Open House at both yesterday and will again today and tomorrow.  We went through yesterday, mostly to look at flooring/paint (again, lots of gray and white tones).  One of the realtors told OH that carpeting was "out" and that flooring has "come a long way" in the last decade or two.  Unfortunately,  OH has not "come a long way" in the same time.  :-)

I'm waiting for the ring-necked doves to go to wherever they go after they've spent the spring here. There are more than ever and they're leaving great piles of poo everywhere around the feeder and on the sidewalk under the telephone pole.  :-(
