Aila's classic fish-calling and reception of headless whopper from Louis. I hadn't noticed that before.
IMAGICAT
I do love CATHY's "stuffed turkeys" ;-D
Just a casual catchup from around when I reported a fish.
It had been raining and suddenly the sun came out:
The fish:
#1 looked indignant every time #2 got a bite ;)
Can you make out #2's crop? Not as big as #1's but not empty!
18:42 Louis came for the fish but Aila pulled it out from under him:
Louis dumped one of his nasty sticks on the chicks and left:
Louis returned for some fish but, unable to find any, displacement activity took place:
Aila had been sitting on the fish ;)
After more chick-feeding, Louis got the fish:
More rain:
By the time Louis brought another good fish, Aila was sogged, and Louis had just plopped the raw end of the fish on the chick's back, leaving a bloody patch:
#2 wasn't getting much and fell over, ended up pinned down by #1:
#1 was aggressive-looking again when #2 got bites, or looked likely to get a bite ;) #2 did OK tho:
#2 toppled over again:
Aila had a good look around at poop time:
Still zuzzing as I type!
G'night!
Aww, I missed the mist :( Quite distant.
It receded quite quickly after carving paths:
Current cloud drifting along Loch Arkaig
Notice how light it is already...must be nearly mid-summer time
How quickly the weather can change in such a short time....
