The season so far: Telyn (Blue 3J) arrived back 30 March and Monty on 1 April. Telyn laid 3 eggs 17, 20 and 23 April hatching 26, 27 and 29 May. Telyn and Monty continue to work hard to raise their young and Monty is once more proving to be an excellent provider bringing in plenty of fish to feed his family.

Precise feeding:
The weather closed in, Telyn supported while Monty brooded:
Then Telyn stood by Monty with her head bowed for 40 minutes, looking up only occasionally:
Eventually she picked up the fish and managed to get access to a chick ;)
Then 2 chicks - open wide! A third chick was tucked safely under Monty:
I expect Monty took some fish away to eat, I can't remember now :-/
Then there was a repeat, even wetter? Telyn has the remains of the whopper underfoot:
Monty took the skin away, I was hoping to see him gobble it:
He brought a flounder, which was fed to chicks pronto:
The littlest chick (I think) made such an effort to get fed, yet it never managed to take any of the bites offered, it hardly tried to take them yet kept begging, it was so frustrating to watch :'(
This is an oddment, there must have been a reason but... :-/
Telyn had to brood like this because all the chicks were so far forward:

I didn't capture much today due to forgetfulness, but this afternoon I got Telyn bringing in an extremely difficult stick, which got hooked over her back and she couldn't understand why it wouldn't co-operate.
The chicks were lucky to escape unharmed.
(It's rather difficult to see in snaps so I've 'altered' the colours a bit.)
Then when she was tidying up other sticks afterwards, one of the chicks was nearly hanged by the neck until it was dead (I had my black cap at the ready) and was still on its back when brooded. I hope Emyr will publish but I think it should be OK for me to post a slideshow, it's only snaps after all... but not nearly as clear as a video would be.
Morning ALL - thanks for all the updates, vids and captures. Very scary incident Scylla but thankfully bob looks fine.
Telyn up just now rearranging a few sticks. I think they are all waiting on some breakfish
