The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. Maya and 33 continue to work hard to raise their young and 33 is once more proving to be an excellent provider bringing in plenty of fish to feed his family.

Morning All
I can't see any fish but Maya is currently feeding #4.
#4 gets a few bits and then the little chick turns away and appears full

#4 joins its siblings and Maya cleans up and moves some twigs

Morning Jane - I did watch last night's feed, but unable to post, and agree it was not pleasant viewing.
I recall #3 getting a few bits first then attacked by the older chick who was then attacked by the other and then it attacked #4 every time it raised its head. There was also the fight between the two older chicks and I actually saw it pull a feather from it !! That settled and as if #4 hadn't had enough, the other older chick attacked it which seemed more vicious as if it was taking its anger out on #4 after being attacked itself.
It really was horrible and the same happened the night before but Maya stopped feeding and got among the chicks to stop it.
So two nights on the trot - I hope we are not going to be seeing this last feed every night.
Edit:
Although #4 got nothing to eat last night at the 21:00 feed it had been fed during the day and exceptionally well at the 17:00 feed. Here is a capture of it :-)

FISH -
07:59 33 arrives with a smaller than usual fish which Maya grabs
08:01 The older chick shows interest and Maya starts feeding it
08:08 The other older chick now joins the feed as the other one leaves. #4 has also joined and being fed and #3 waiting to join them
First I've seen one up on its feet and having a few steps
Fish -
09:04 33 is on form this morning :-)
09:05 #4 is up first and getting fed. Older chick(2) sits along with #4 and getting the odd bit
09:11 #3 joins them and gets fed too along with #4, and #2
09:16 Older chick(2) leaves and Maya continues to feed #3 and #4
09:19 #4 now full and lies down (it rarely moves away :-D ) Other older chick (1) now joins the line with #3
a couple of them having a tiny wing flap :-D
First #3
then an older chick
It's going to be fun when the four of them get serious trying out their little wings!!
33 arrives with a stick
and
thankfully doesn't drop it on the chicks but places it at the side.
