OG Don't they understand that J would have attended the appt if he had been able to access it!!!!

My birthday is officially over! At last weather fine and OH feeling bright enough to go out. (The weather is important to me as I don’t like driving at night in the rain. Traffic is getting worse – this time the 40 min trip took us 50 mins.) I had duck leg on a bed of sauteed mushrooms, potato & orange sauce. (Delish). OH had fruit de mer crepes (prawns, scallops & fish). We barely had room but profiteroles were on the specials board. . . . Sadly dining at our favourite eatery is doomed. Bistro France is located in the part of a shopping centre that is going to be “upgraded”, ie demolished, at the end o the year. The cafe is moving to a far-off NE suburb and will be lunch only.

AQ;  Happy Belated Birthday.  Too bad about your favorite restaurant.  Do you have a second favorite?   The place we always liked closed and is now a very noisy but trendy eatery. We haven't been there. . I was reading an article (online somewhere...!) that people are getting fed up with noisy restaurants and that TripAdvisor now has a rating that includes that info.  Haven't checked that out though....

No whales today; in fact we only lasted one hour before the winds kicked up and an entire pod of whales could have come by, waved hello, and we would have had a hard time seeing them.   More rain due tomorrow night  - and again on Tuesday!

Glad you finally made it to your birthday bash, AQ. Sounds as if it was a good meal. Shame that your favourite eatery is closing. Restaurants seem to come and go a lot these days. I don't like driving in the dark and if it's raining, too, I'm nervous that I can't see well enough. I see you're having an election there, but not much coverage of it here.

It has been raining here overnight. Dry now but threatening. Off for a swim shortly.

AQ: LOL! I'm sure you have. I've already had enough of the 2020 U.S. election. LOL

Chucking it down now so won't even offer Benson a walk. Glad OH walked with him earlier.
