LOCH ARKAIG (c)The Woodland Trust - MAY 2019

  • Gosh I did this nearly an hour ago, just to show the egg status (no pips seen), got sidetracked :(   She hasn't got up since - not surprised, as it's raining steadily :(

  • Louis with a whopper !!! Aila has flown !!! Without fish !!!

    She'll be back, WAIT Louis!

  • She flew off with it in her beak, I think. Was it a Garfish and did she have it precariously by the "nose"?

    Replay time.

Glad the fish met your very stringent size criteria Scylla :) Ian

...scylla has very eggsacting standards, rightly so.....

  • Deal with it Louis. You've only done 20 minutes

  • Was it a Garfish?

Heehee, lord knows what I was seeing, but it was a good-sized, headless not-Garfish ;)

  • Well-well-well !!! Aila's back with plenty of fish in tow/toe ;)
  • How cute is this! Aila tries to feed Louis. Must sense she's about to be in mum-mode

  • She's eating at the back of the nest, Louis still sitting.

(Except my screen's gone white again, dang.)

Aila has just left the fish on the nest and taken over from Louis on the eggs.  I was so hoping that Louis would leave the fish for her but he's picked it up... eating...
