IMAGICAT
Louis just arrived with a long stick Saw him fly in from the distance Lovely
Now standing on one leg by Aila
C WT Arkaig
Very generous, IAN, "headless" ;)
Louis had a nibble while Aila had her flyabout:
Aila back, there was quite a bit of faffing before Louis left:
Quiet up to now, but more rain :(
Then streaks slowly appeared across her back - totally inconsequential :-/
Up for a flyabout:
Back with drier feathers :)
That was a very peaceful night - but of course Aila did dare sleep.
Preening time:
It was lovely to see Louis incubating when I logged on this morning - "Oh great, Aila's had breakfish", I thought.
I was so thrilled I took a snap of the dear boy there 'n then:
Now I've come to the lead-up:
Aila back from her break, Louis flew:
Then a busy spell for Louis, bringing in nest materials and standing looking gorgeous:
A long, thin stick you can hardly see:
Attempting to move an immovable object:
Tiny clumps:
Nearly looking like a kestrel:
Let's hope he flew in the direction of FISH >:(
Up to 07:33.
Great captures thank you, all that rain has enriched the woodland colours, still I would like it to stop raining there and here and everywhere, as it feels more
like winter than summer in Scotland!!
Continuing from 07:33
(NB - I didn't know how many ins 'n outs there would be when I started out on this :o )
What a stick from Louis this time!
Aila left, Louis took over:
Aila returned with something very tiny in her left foot, but I'm only showing this view for a change ;)
Louis wouldn't get up, but he did when Aila picked up this stick:
Next from Louis, a small clump of bracken:
He created a disturbance moving this big stick but had to leave:
Up next, a twig so thin we could hardly see it, and Louis managed to get Aila up and away by standing beside her ;)
The last frame before the blur:
Louis flew off @ 10:11 and Aila flew in @ 10:12.
Another stick:
Something caused Aila to fly off alarm calling - she flew distantly out of the top of our screen:
Back:
She occupied herself with adjusting the nest material either side:
And chewing bark (no fish yet, after all!):
And spotting threats:
And chasing unseen intruders - this time she squealed in the sky (but may have screamed with a better mike):
Soon back:
Louis arrived with a large stick:
Which he plonked onto Aila's back and he whispered in her ear:
Stood around a bit (lots of Louis snaps today :) ):
He left the stick across Aila's back but she didn't seem to notice:
Another stick !!! (It's longer than it looks here, I don't know why our sticks fade away):
Created as much disturbance as poss with this one:
Had to leave:
Do you think Aila looks indignant yet?
She had a micro-flex and settled back down:
A stretch and quick flyabout:
Well, here she is, watching and waiting:
Nearly half-past two in the afternoon and Aila's had no breakfish !!!
