IMAGICAT
There was a headless, smallish fish at 08.15 approx. Ian
12.51. headless and again smallish fish. Ian
scylla said:Ooh, thanks for all the fish reports, IAN! A while ago I was hearing a lot of Aila calling, probably that final fish was on the way. I'll get some snaps.
See if you can also get Aila thumping Louis with a branch at about 18.15!! Ian
The 08:15 FISH - difficult to see:
She took her time over it!
Nodding off constantly:
Louis's stick isn't bad by his standards:
That was a surprise - Aila flew!
I wonder if Aila relaxes on a branch and has a good doze, knowing Louis is protecting the eggs?
When she returned she put a little clump on Louis's back to get him up:
Suddenly she was off into the distance, alarm calling:
And back:
Huh! Louis landed on Aila's back with this big stick - Aila shrugged it off after he'd left:
Partial FISH, as reported:
Aila shifted sticks and smothered Louis, trying to get him up:
Another stick per Louis, carefully selected to go round a corner ;)
And Aila was off again!
Next changeover, the wind took Louis upwards:
This was when I heard her fish-calling:
He had a very good share before sharing!
His breast feathers look so soft and fluffy :-*
*EEEEK* - Aila got in a state with a stick and the eggs got trampled:
It went rather dark but soon brightened up again:
That's as far as I'm going :)
Yesterday evening 21-21:30 Louis brought in a couple of sticks and gave Aila a short break.
I think she was watching him fly around/away:
Uneventful until this mini-alarm, she then turned the eggs:
Long buffer around this time, during which her position significantly changed so anything might have happened :(
Off she flew and in flew Louis, they actually overlapped in the sky but distantly:
Back, changeover:
Good stick!
Which he dropped onto Aila's back.
He then proceeded to tidy a different stick on the left, and reversed into Aila accidentally on purpose:
That didn't shift her so he flew:
A 1m30s flyabout:
Awaiting breakfish still:
Louis just arrived but not with fish... he waited a while (were they looking at someone?) and has flown.
That's it so far, unless I've missed something.
