Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
LM12 (Laddie) arrived back 15 March and LF15 (Lassie) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 3 eggs laid 4, 7 and 10 April with the first expected to hatch around 11 May.

KAREN ranted ;) ;-*
Rutland is an absolute disgrace this year. They should think black burning shame of themselves. As well as the cam, not even an announcement and they have 2 chicks hatched.
I understand they've had major staff changes - and in fact have hardly anyone there this season :o

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The little one fell onto its back and Lassie didn't right it when she settled down. Let's hope there's a turnover going on underneath!

Birdies LG DU update.
Oh dear, it is always so distressing watching when the chick/s is/are in trouble, and Mum doesn't realise. Good to know all is sorted.
13.34 Lassie caught sight of something above
Then ?Laddie was heard intruder 'chipping'. At that point Lassie lost interest and did a spot of preening as she incubated.
13.38 Lassie is now calling. Intruder must have flown too close but out of view - sound is so out of synch which doesn't help
Laddie gave another call
13.41 Lassie checks the eggs and chuck chuck is heard from the chick!
Intruder is still around. The wind is gusting quite strongly

Tweet from Lowes (1hr ago)
Just after 3pm, there was another feed for the little one (upside down again!). Laddie had made an appearance on the nest prior to this - I couldn't see too well as to how the fish handover went as the cam had zoomed in on the eggs and chick - then Lassie flew in from the left with the part fish
Babe fell backwards when trying to turn itself around after Lassie changed position to feed
Lassie settle back to brood. Tiny was between the two eggs so hoping it rights itself while underneath her
