Hi everyone, got the date right today.
Its been a day of lots of activity , fish deliveries, flying practice and of course going on flyabouts.
As you can see from the pic below we now have "empty nest syndrome" as it looks like Titch has gone to roost elsewhere. Probably in his adventures yesterday he found a nice tree he could roost in for the night and has gone to do so. Nice thought.. Happy viewing to our nght shift. See you all in the morning.

EJ on the nest and alarm calling
Think EJ is just back shrieking at an intruder, although not for long. Just looked again and not EJ but could it be Odin, sad when I can't even ID EJ and Odin.
Margobird
Second thoughts, I think she;s calling for Odin and in he comes, and off he goes
Morning Daisy Ray! I can open your pictures from your link ... well done! I'm not wonderfully technically minded ... but if you save your pictures in a folder in your 'Pictures' file you can put them straight on here ... don't know if that helps at all :-)
Someone just landed shouting on the nest ... don't know who as usual! And another has joined him/her ... and gone again :-))

And off she goes , no sign of the chicks. Calling is going off, offstage.
Hi Daisy Ray. I save my pictures to 'my picture file' and then you click on the little blue sign above and to the right of this message. Then press browse, locate your photograph; click on photo and save; then insert and it will appear in your post. If you wish to post from the live video, I haven't even tried that yet. Lynette or Joan could help you there.
Empty nest ... but somebody is on the camera post ... they landed with a clunk ... and there is shaking of feathers every now and then!
Chick stats updated as at today's date.
I have tried to estimate the chicks' migration dates. Finding data on 'age at migration' is difficult, Roy's estimate is at 11 to 12 weeks, as many of you will know, it is on pages 79 an 80 of the book. There is a research paper by Bustamante (correct spelling) in 1995, at LG, on a PDF document, but it is only for private use, mass distribution is prohibited, so no link I am afraid. Bustamante calculates a mean figure of 82.6 days, which ties in with Roy. The extreme limit observed was 97 days.
The migration dates are of importance to anyone contemplating a visit to LG in August.

Thanks for all your work jsb. I will go and have a look.
Nest still empty but we can hear osprey call and activity.
Got to go now, empty nest only managed to catch glimpses of some of the family so far today. Going out to lunch so need to go and get ready as I am being picked up at 12.00. Back later hopefully.
