Yikes !!! I thought I must have missed it but it's all there waiting for attention :)))
Thank you, everyone, for the super captures and info :)
I can't believe they arrived together - but they did! ;-D
Three matings altogether, only the first successful, IMHO. They were on the nest nearly 13 minutes, this is cut down to 5 but no significant activity missing - you know how they like to stand and (males) mantle and (females) look a bit nonplussed ;)
UNCUT VERSION:
The first was the best ;)
He sat here for ages after his second nestcupping:

IMAGICAT
Uh-oh! She's up defending.
Thankyou for your sterling captures scyll.
Through, no doubt, patience, perseverance, grit, and determination you have succeeded to present a goodly record of todays activity here. Nice one.
So far tonight...
The scare reported above:
Later a poop:
No further major activity besides egg-turning, still 2 eggs.
Aila has been ever so "good" since that pre-midnight scare, sitting among the teeming insects that I can see in FF. Now she's mainly looking out for Louis but he hasn't shown up yet.
Aila has gone for a fly around, GOOD for her, looks like she decided she has waited long enough for breakfish, she went to get Louis to bring it to her.

Aila suddenly took off and meandered way up to the top left corner and across to the right and disappeared...
She returned in time to meet Louis bringing half a fish:
She took it and flew off without delay :)
Louis interested in something: EDIT - He was looking up when I thought I took this live snap, now you can see my problem, I'm not the fastest ;-D
I watched Aila fly off Scylla, so just pressed record :-)
The third egg has arrived, laid at approximately 13.40. Aila gave a sweet little chirp just to let us know. Ian
