Telyn has been tidying nesting around the egg and settled down Then suddenly she was up and mantling Now Monty come to helpher
Wings back down but Monty standing over the egg and Telyn on the side.....she has flown and Monty is getting himself comfortable but taking his time to actually settle down fiddling with nesting
Still not happy enough to settle to incubate Got a leg caught in lots of little twigs oe something
At last he is down on the egg

Limpy said:Telyn is on the nest perch. She didn't incubate at night last year until she had three eggs.
Thanks for this informative post Limpy. I'd , personally, forgotten that fact.
I didn't know about Telyn's non-incubating practice at all, as I didn't follow last year.
Yesterday our "mottly crow" (that's a kinda pun to do with a pop group of whom I know nothing except their name, "motley crue", and it snared me) had a fly-around and perched behind the nest:

After this Telyn took over again. Her retirement to a perch was corrupted here.
