Ah 33 is getting his first shot :-D

Maya has now flown off for a break leave 33 in his favourite position  :-D

LOL I watched that. He arrived. Maya gingerly stood up and before she was upright he had his head underneath her intent on incubation. Maya has flown!

LOL I thought this morning he was working hard getting that cup ready. Little did we know he would be settled down a few hours later incubating!

Sheila - such a shame you moved on and posting and missed it. But so unexpected.

but not for long as Maya flies in and then 33 and mates

33 didn't stay away too long.  He was back in to take over from Maya and after fumbling around for a bit, 33 has now got himself comfy and sitting.

Isn't that Maya on the nest now? When I saw her shuffling and settling in the nest cup I said to myself "surely not!" Unbelievable Just a few days later than last year but still utterly remarkable Well done Maya and 33

Hi Patily, yes it is Maya. Watched the change over but was unable to post.

Not seen a fish yet so hopefully 33 is now away fishing.

It is only 10 days since 33 has been back so it is quick for Maya to lay her first egg.

I wonder if this has anything to do with her being back before 33 and having had time to get herself into tip top condition.

I was also counting that it has only been 10 days since 33's return I think you could be right about Maya's condition
