LM12 arrived on Friday 15 March, and his regular mate, LF15, on Saturday 23 March. Since then, we've seen them renewing their bond, with skydancing, mating, fish, mating, more fish, more mating, oh, and perfecting the nest. Going on their past performance from the 4 years they've been together, I reckon we can expect the first egg to be laid anytime from 4 April onwards. However I personally cannot remember anything of that sort at this nest. Is there History I can look back on here ?
Sheena, you can type anything into the white search box at the top of the page. It should show things that match. Sometimes you may have to changesome wording or use less text! Good luck.

Within the blog, the Lowes write their concerns for the egg which, although not predated, was left uncovered for 2hrs, 20mins - quote
"we are concerned that the egg will not have survived such a long period uncovered on a cold, wet night."
Change over and is there an intruder?

Thanks Catlady, I did search and nothing coming up. I did not think it would but I promised to check it out on behalf of cam viewer who seems to re- calls frogs!! I am now begining to wonder if she saw Loch Garten pic that Scylla posted with added Froggie ... s
Mmmmmm, disappointing Laddie. He's been prone to this behaviour has he not. I thought he'd grown out of it. Of all the time to desert the egg , a cold wet night (even if the 'wet' was dew it would be heavy enough to be rain).. Sorry Korky my memory cannot piece together nest and culprit and length of time etc but Laddie has been known to do this quite a bit - even when Lady was his mate.
Thank you Karen for the link to the latest Blog. Yes, Laddie may well like to incubate as so many males do (Odin Monty) but he has this thing about not quite seeing it through. Very odd about Lassie sleeping away !
