LM12 arrived on Friday 15 March, and his regular mate, LF15, on Saturday 23 March. Since then, we've seen them renewing their bond, with skydancing, mating, fish, mating, more fish, more mating, oh, and perfecting the nest. Going on their past performance from the 4 years they've been together, I reckon we can expect the first egg to be laid anytime from 4 April onwards. Good Afternoon all , not a nice day sigh.
Close up, poor Lassie she looks drookit.
Lassie has been alert at times but is also getting some shut-eye:
Lassie eventually took a 2-and-a-half hour break!
See later, when SHEENA pointed out that it was Laddie incubating. Lassie did not take over until he'd been gone 2-and-a-half hours.
When she returned she took over 10 minutes to get settled - Laddie arrived and left, no interaction:
After the grilled version, the roasted version:
Morning, SHEENA, sorry I wasn't looking ;) I don't know of that happening anywhere. Maybe it has tho.
I was reading the other day, an osprey person said "Some people say that ospreys eat other critters occasionally - take no notice, they don't". Not those exact words but the same meaning.
G'night folks.
