Camera update.
Good News: We've got all six nest cameras working, tested and running beautifully.
We also tested the Live Streaming briefly this afternoon too - it will be on by Monday next week.
Bad news: Our efforts at fixing our Sennheiser MKH 416 P48 microphone have failed so we still don't have audio as of this evening, but we're on it.
Massive thanks to Andy and Tony this week for enduring some brutal weather (not forecast!) on the marsh.
We'll get there.
Birdies LG DU update.

Great photos Scylla, I agree with Cirrus with female stonechat, lovely little birds always perchng on top of sticks. I've never seen a Raven, I think somewhere we've got a Raven calling, maybe Lowes, which I will investigate later. I had a critical PC crash a week ago and to my horror yesterday, I found I'd lost my huge excel work spreadsheet, but fortunately I had backed up in January and the webcams are presently down so I can get on with bringing that one up to date.
Mike B said:A Yagi is a piece of equipment used to locate birds which have been fitted with tiny sensors. It has a limited range and the transmitters fall off when the tail feather is moulted. Used to detect birds when they have first fledged. Alison did a lot of 'detecting' at Poole last year. This page from the old Rutland site shows the kit:- www.zen88810.zen.co.uk/.../Transloc flights.htm Each bird has its own frequency. The use of this kit has detected birds which have been 'grounded' after a fledge. The cam is live on the Dyfi page but Chat is on the YouTube link.
Well, this did get to me a bit late Mike as I was taking advantage of the superb hiking weather and getting out and about . But thank you so much for the explanation and the link - all very interesting, I have to say. Wish I was in a place where I could volunteer for anything. My time off work needs for me to be walking in green footpaths and woods and so on well out of the city I live in but ....... come the day ......
