LOCH GARTEN NEST - 16 MARCH-19 APRIL 2019

Many thanks Scylla and hello again to everyone! I got so excited when I saw Mary's video earlier on, that I rudely dived straight in without greeting all the familiar names, and omitting to say A HUGE THANK YOU to all you dedicated folk who put so much time and effort into keeping Lazy Lurkers like me up to date with what's going on. Many apologies - I'm sure you all know how much it is appreciated by those like me who have neither the time nor the technical skills to contribute to all the updates/pics/videos etc. Good banter too!

Not only the sighting of osprey(s) but a roaming cam too! Oh, and sunshine.
11.53 Osprey fly past... cam found it on dead tree

Two osprey on two parts of dead tree - I think, in my excitement. Then cam returned to the nest

Edit:  no, it was just the single osprey

Flypast

and landed on the dead tree, a branch to the left of the cam

It appeared to be look around for something.  Unfortunately the cam returned to the nest, so I have no idea how long it stayed

I thought it was 2 but we whizzed away. Excitement is building.

Edit: I thought I saw 2 too,  phew I’d better go and get a cold drink.

It seems odd that they switched back there, without zooming in on the osprey.

Ah, it's because they knew a little birdie would visit ;)

Another birds waits, in vain!  I daren't hazard a guess other than our recent suspects of female crossbill or female redstart!

Snap Scylla. I'm going with redstart... for now!
