  • Not on Facebook so can't access it!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  • Thomo is right, The Bird Feeder camera has now been programmed and connected to its own dedicated stream and will be running 24/7 (video only no sound). It is not yet on the RSPB website, but is live now here:

    www.carnyx.tv/.../Abernethy.aspx

Over the next few days we will monitor the bandwidth that is required for live Osprey and live Bird Feeder and make sure that the satellite can cope.

Two Osprey Cameras: There are two cameras on the nest, the close-up nestcam and the pan tilt and zoom camera on the mast. The nestcam has a zoom on it that can be controlled by Visitor Centre staff and ourselves remotely. The pan, tilt and zoom camera can only be controlled by the Visitor Centre staff when they are there. You will notice that there is no sound on the nestcam. This is temporary, we hope to have all the audio connections in the Visitor Centre sorted over the coming days.

    Thanks, Peter
  • Hi Peter, thank you so much for your update. You've clearly been busy (seen the Goshawk update!) Brilliant that the nest cam can be zoomed in It will be so helpful in identifying everyone!

    Latest on the nest!

A snug blanket keeping the nest warm for our EJ!!

  • Out of interest... I'm on my tablet now and although I can raise Carnyx, I can't get the cam up. Is it my tablet or a problem?

  • LG BIRD FEEDER

    VLC link

You'll notice there's no '8' on the end - it gets chopped off and works anyway.

  • Camera is ok on my desktop PC Sheila on both the RSPB site and the direct link from the Carnyx site. and I've just checked on my iPad and it works on there too.
Is it a Flash issue on your tablet??
  • Oh dear, that sounds complicated and I'm away tomorrow!! I'll see what can be done when I get there!

  • .This wasn't snow or water, it popped down and straight back up again.  Clutching at straws for action?  Moi? ;)

Looks like there are some thaw lines there, let's hope there are no fresh falls.

  • We've got hinterland :)

Great news - I've fixed my clock, which was one minute slow.  I switched off "set automatically" and switched it back on again (because I couldnt see to do anything else!) and the time righted itself instantly.

  • DAYCAM 06:07:

Those were uploaded leaving the default size in the box.
