HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. The new moon (the dark moon) is 6 March in the UK and US, and 7 March in Adelaide, Australia.

Speaking of Adelaide, I happened upon the Facebook page of ABC Adelaide (a safe, mainstream news site). I loved this VIDEO of a Lyrebird named Nova at the Adelaide Zoo. These birds can mimic anything.

I enjoyed looking at that site's posts. Adelaide is a beautiful city with wonderful street art.

Hi all, just a quickie. My computer has given up the ghost and am awaiting another one (second hand) so should be up and running again by Friday. Just borrowed time on OH's to update all.

Evening all: Very nice day with daughter; all errands accomplished smoothly and sucessfully to the extent that we don't have to do any running around tomorrow! This evening we've had a series of lovely thunderstorms that started more than 3 hours ago and are still rolling through. :-) There's website: www.lightningmap.org where you can see real-time lightning strikes and so are able to anticipate the storm track. Fascinating. The poor folks in the Montecito slide area have been evacuated yet again.

Another dreich day!

Looks like LINDA had a short night before the early start this morning - maybe she can catch up on sleep on the plane.

LYNETTE - another computer breakdown? Oh dear; might be better to start from new this time.

ANNETTE - good to see you and Daughter are enjoying time together and getting through the various errands. Hope you can enjoy a relaxing day today! So sorry for the folk in Montecito, they must be really fed up.

Both men have dental checks today - OH in the morning, J in the afternoon - not planned that way, it just happened. Mine in two weeks time has been postponed to April due to staff holidays! Had our pancakes savoury last evening - filled with ratatouille and sprinkled with parmesan - very good.

ANNETTE - I have the lightning map on my computer - I think it was BRENDA who recommended it on here, years ago. Sorry for the people in Montecito....

LYNETTE - thanks for telling us about your computer failure - hope that the new one will be fine for you.
OG - I forgot about Shrove Tuesday and ended up having pork escalopes and chips for dinner!

Youngest son in law leaves today, back to Egypt for four weeks. He is going offshore this trip, last trip he was in Alexandria.

it will NOT recognise me.

Hi all, new computer arrived this afternoon and now have it up and running - having to sign in to all my various interests but at least I have a more efficient one now.
Signed in without any hesitation - just went to the person icon , clicked then entered email address and password, a doddle.
Will catch up with all the news later.

Well grandson didn't make it He's on call this week for his job (he works for a company that maintains tourist and commuter coaches) and got a call en route to our house from a driver whose bus had broken down in Salinas. He thought the driver had been able to fix things via a phone call but no - so he's ended up driving 2.5 hours in the opposite direction to fix it himself. Daughter was disappointed but we'll be in his neck of the woods Friday so she can have lunch with him

Heather: Your SiL is certainly seeing the world. I hope he's enjoying it.
