Some history of the BALGAVIES LOCH OSPREYS.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

What a shame, poor Mrs. BF on her eggs too. This certainly is nature in the raw.

Karen W said:Mary, yes we are all wondering what on earth is going on this year! It is so frustrating seeing intruders pester a settled nest when there is an empty nest not too far away, (as the crow flies)! I often wonder if there are enough nests up here (North) and if perhaps there should be more platforms erected thinking of the number of nests at Kielder, Rutland and now around Dyfi. But I don't know what is going on - they are a law unto themselves :-)
----ooooOOOOoooo----
I don't think it is a shortage of nests as I have been told of lots of nests lying empty up North, it seems Ospreys want to take over a nest that is being occupied. :-(
I don't think Mrs BF had much of a choice Karen, she probably was trying to protect the eggs, who knows, it certainly doesn't look good at the moment, I am praying that Green BF turns up, he will be 15 this year so not a youngster.
