Some history of the BALGAVIES LOCH OSPREYS.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

Here is his report
Some of his usual excellent photos
Its great to know that BF17 has stayed around the nest on and off, and hopefully KR3 will too and they come back safely next year and once again Balgavies will have a successful season.
Still heartbroken that Green BF17 has not been sighted anywhere , not giving up hope yet though.
Yes it is Patily, but hopefully next season will be a better one.
Welcome back Mary. Good to see you with us again.
Good morning Patily.

It is good to see that KR3 and BF17 are still around the nest.
Hello Everyone
Sorry I haven't been posting much this season, with the non-return of EJ, then the disappearance of Green BF, my heart just hasn't been in it this year. Hopefully next year will be better for both Loch Garten and Balgavies.
I am happy that so many of the other nests have been successful though, so a lot to celebrate there.
Darren went to Balgavies the other night but there were no Ospreys around, although one guy who visits regularly has seen both the Female and Blue KR3 in and around the nest regularly, so that bodes well for next season.
He did visit the other Angus nest on private land and sent me some stunning photos of the male there. What a handsome looking Osprey he is. They have two chicks but the female and the chicks were too far away on the nest for photos.
