Some history of the BALGAVIES LOCH OSPREYS.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Don't know what is going on at all the nests this season, what with intruders at Lowes, and Aila getting dive bombed at Loch Arkaig
DARREN has just messaged me to say that both Green BF and Mrs BF left the nest over an hour ago and haven't been seen since.
He will keep me posted on what happens next.
I will be absolutely gutted if anything happens to them and their eggs.

Darren just got home about an hour ago. He said the female came back but didn't go to the nest but perched on a tree to the side of it. So goodness knows what is happening. I hope Green BF comes back and that the eggs will be OK.
Thing is with it being an unmanned hide you are just relying on people writing in the book what is happening on the nest, as I guess people cannot be there 24/7.
I have everything crossed too Karen, can't believe this has happened.
After the shaky start with the geese, thought all would be settled for the rest of the season.

Kind regards, Ann
Darren has said Jim the Warden is going to keep him in touch, latest was that the female was on the nest but standing high, and not incubating.
Lets hope we get some good news tomorrow some time to let us know if Green BF is back.
There was an unringed intruder and a Blue Ringed intruder flying high when Darren got there, blue ring looks like KR3 who has been seen at Balgavies before.
Its sods flippin law isn't it, intruders giving grief at Loch of the Lowes and Balgavies, and Loch Garten nest lying empty for the taking.
