LATEST POST BY MIKE ROBERTSON ON THE BALGAVIES FACEBOOK PAGE - An article by Jim Crumley in the April Scot's Magazine about early protection of an Osprey nest in Stirlingshire. I always enjoy anything he writes or does on television, so hopefully I can get a hold of the magazine as would be good to read the whole article.
Just checking their Website, and see it is possible to buy the issue digitally, I would prefer the paper magazine but good to know if I cannot get it, this option is available.
BLUE YD - MAKES IT INTO THE COURIER NEWSPAPER.
Hmmm typical newspaper speak!
Darren will update FB later
Jacqui Her has sent us in photos of Blue KR3, some really nice photos she took at the Eden ESTUARY, Nr. Guardbridge . Posted on the Balgavies FB Page.
Our own Roberto M reported this bird visiting Balgavies last year. Also this link gives us a chance to see all his wonderful photos again.
This was the information he received on KR3
Quote....
"I received information on Blue KR3, seen on the 8th of July during my first visit at Balgavies Loch this year. Has quite a pale breast and I believe is a male, Keith Brockie ringed him on 07/07/2016 not far from Perth and was the only chick of the brood. Blue KR3 was also spotted on 18/05/2018 at Eden Estuary, Fife. Keith kindly sent me a picture taken when in the nest."
Unquote....
So its is good to know KR3 is still around, and thank you Roberto for your continued visits to Balgavies all the way from Italy, and for your continued reports.
Norman Davidson has posted some lovely photos of Blue CR9 (2013) hatched Dunecht, Aberdeenshire on the BALGAVIES FACEBOOK PAGE.

Thank you Mary for referencing my post and for bringing good news on Blue KR3.
Always a pleasure to visit Scotland, great country with so many wonderful places. I'm looking forward to get there again in July.

Also Ian Francis believes the same. From his feedback when I reported my sighting last year
