I think it looks more male as quite light chested.   In the past, apart from last year,  Laddie has returned quite early so hopefully there is a glimpse of the back of the head for Laddie has a mark like a Spanish dancer but I think it will be hard to make out in this wind.   Hopefully it is him.

It isn't half blowing a hoolie here!

There is a picture on FB showing the back of his head and the Spanish Dancer mark. Couple of people confirming it's laddie.

I am sure it is LM12 aka  Laddie for he has the mark

What a clear picture, Richard GB, well done. It is believed to be Laddie, LM(12). He returned on 29 March last year, nine days after Lassie.
His characteristic Spanish Dancer pattern
