Kielder Ospreys 2019

Oh joy ! UV is home - what wonderful news. So hope he finds a mate this year. And two more returnees - tremendous. Thank you for the good news Jaydee..

Another couple of Kielder arrivals

Fabulous news, JD! Just great to have all 8 residents of the nests with cameras home safe and sound. Loved the video of UV visiting his Mum--awwww!  Fingers crossed that UV has a nest and chicks this year and that the nests 5 and 6 are successful as well..

Interesting times!

There's a 3 year old single female and plenty of nests available in Poole Harbour if he wants to settle down in a peaceful environment with plenty of fish.

Looks as though he plans to settle down Jaydee, if the right lady comes along.

Thanks, JD. Definitely interesting times, especially if both of last year's pair return. Wonder who will win the resulting fight for the nest. Are residents more motivated to defend a nest they have claimed a previous year?
Richard, Ha, ha! I love the thought that UV would do just that but for him to settle at Poole Harbour he would have to be one of those Ospreys who never read the text books, namely that males choose to nest near to where they fledged!

Thanks JAYDEE I have been following your posts via email and was so happy tp read that all 4 pairs have returned safely I hope they all have successful nests again this year I hope the nest 6 pair alao return safely and make a success of their nest Wonder if there will be a pair on Nest 5
