Thanks, JD. Fingers crossed for all of Kielder's and all UK chicks, Ospreys and other birds, all of whom are trying to cope with this rainy spell.

One of the chicks had died by the middle of Wednesday. I should have been clearer and said that in the post before last, rather than referring to only one soliciting.

How sad! We seem to have had a fair number of chick losses on known nests this year.......poor little things didn't even get a chance at life.

Hope W6's remaining chick thrive's now Perhaps if there's some better weather Mrs W6 will step up her game and feed the wee thing more regularly

Must be heartbreakin for you to have to report these kinds of developments. Hope that all the other chicks continue to do well
