Hi everyone, been a bit hit and miss yesterday. Very windy conditions and the youngest almost made it but not quite. I think 4 fish were delivered in total. The wind has died down now and there are two peaceful looking ospreys on the nest Eldest one is probably roosting nearbye. Happy viewing to the night shift, see you all in the morning.

Both chicks snoozing nicely at the moment. 2.50am
2 chicks on the nest sleeping. A bird just came to the nest and announced it's arrival. It is on the right side and mostly out of view. I can't see who it is in the dark. I think it is EJ because one chick is laying down and food soliciting. I don't know if a chick would food solicit from a sibling.
Now it left , but one chick is up . Looks like #2 sitting on the edge of the nest preening. The other one ( Titch ?) is still sleeping
Maybe is was EJ who came to the nest and she went fishing early

Hi all: Just did dinner dishes and settled down - need 4 pairs of eyes tonight as I'm doing other stuff on the computer while trying to watch Nature (about the wildlife in the Andes). Lovely (especially on the new flat screen). But I digress.
Watcher2: As Barbara Jean (and Gary) said at the end of yesterday's blog, if the folks at LG can't tell who did or didn't fledge, what hope is there for us! This is turning out to be a very - um - challenging year for ID'ing the chicks.
Well, if one of them starts flapping and not going anywhere, we'll know it's Titch.
OK. I'm thinking that one at the far side of the nest is Titch.
Titch flattens herself on the nest; #2 joines her. Something's up there - but not sure what.. Is that #1 calling from the camera pole??
Uh oh. Looks like everyone else has gone to bed. This could be tricky. Poirot is on Masterpiece Theatre, someone is calling at LG (chicks aren't as flat on the nest, but settled tho' looking around). there's some to-ing and fro-ing at LOTL, the computer has frozen once and I just lost the wireless connection. Phew. Not making much progress with my other projects. Still no fish at this point.
Oh cute. The two chicks are snuggled together, nose to nose, so to speak - looks like they're sharing secrets! "Titch, what are we going to do about #1? So pushy. We don't get a look-in come time to eat." "Right, well #2, tell you what, I'm going to head outta here today and see where they get all these fish! Just as soon as someone brings me breakfast."
