At least two different adult Ospreys at Arne, Dorset, this morning. Both seen carrying fish, and one (Beaky?) eating on dead tree for a while. The other one struggled with its fish and eventually dropped down into a field where it was bothered by corvids. It then flew leaving the fish behind. This photo shows its tenuous grip on the fish before descending.

Apologies Mike - I typed the wrong ring number in and have edited the post to reflect it. The number is actually CN2. It took me a long time looking at all the pictures to decide that it was CN2 rather than CH2 - I know both ring numbers exist. Sometimes you think it would be better to stick with letters/symbols that cause no reading problems
