Well, I seem to be here but cannot use my kindle fire to reply, the bumph at the top and bottom of the page means that the keyboard occludes any view of what I am writing. So if things don't change, I will have to fire up my PC in order to reply to any comments. Now to see if I can post.....

Hi All:   I came on yesterday and was surprised to see that we are "back again".  However, I was far too tired to work out how to post anything!  We arrived home in the afternoon after a rather fraught journey back from Wales, late and tired.  I'm posting here on my desktop PC as I can only see a tiny part of the thread on my tablet :-(

Well, that seems to have posted.  Many thanks to Annette and Diane, and others who have tried to guide us around....  I'll be back later as have to go out now.

So sad to see the terrible destruction in your part of the world, Annette -hope everyone you know is safe and well.

I'm assuming folks are getting the pop up "Let us know what you think" survey so be sure to fill that out with any comments, eg - the problem with seeing things on a tablet.  I'll take the survey later (when I've had a chance to check things out) but agree that, even on my laptop, there's an awful lot of space (maybe up to 40%) at the top and bottom of the screen given over to headings and tabs (three at the top and the conservation blurb at the bottom.  And I'd b happy to do without the "Related" column to the right.   Still, at this point, kudos to the RSPB team for launching a site that seems to be technically glitch-free at first sight but might need some finessing.

I have been moaning that I could only post in reply to the post, which meant it was indented and in among a number of previous responses.  But I've just seen a 'reply' on Annette's post, starting the thread, 20 hours ago (no time given, must remember to comment on that!), so am trying it out to see where my/this reply will end up.  Under the first post, at the bottom of the list, indented or against the margin!

So that's how to get a post at the margin!  But it's a pain having to go to the top to do that, when you will lose the post you may be commenting on.

I wonder if the issue of logging is due to now having an option to use either username or email. When I open the community page to log-in, above where you type in the boxes you have an option to click either email or username, I got thrown first times logging in would not work because it defaults to username and if you use your email it fails, you have to remember to click the option you need each log in time, would be good if you could fix it as your preference.
