Hi all: Just a heads up - we're getting Server Error messages but posts are making it onto the thread. Just means you have to keep reloading the page. Check out last few posts of previous Weekly Chat to find out what kind of visitors TerryM had at her bird feeder yesterday. I blathered a bit but nothing to miss the ospreys for; pretty quiet in fact with some of the regulars off on vacation.
Alan thanks for the pic of Hamish. One contented dog I think. He is just so gorgeous.

Morning ALL, (just)
Annette; I was really pleased to hear that you received news of your OH seat upgrade. You really were kept waiting to hear the good news.
Alan; Lovely picture of Hamish. That used to be a favourite spot for our dog to lie.
Diane: I don't think I would like be too close to your emu.
Linda, Lovely photographs of Martin Mere.
Thanks for all your news and I hope the heavy rain stops for those who have it. We haven't had any yet, but it is forecast for Thursday night and Friday.
I have just about caught up with all the blogs now and it has taken well over an hour. Thanks to all for interesting chat and pics.
Pet Shop Boys gig was fantastic. Had a great time and danced for over 3 hours. Managed to get myself right up to the front so had a good view. OH was amazed how I managed to do that but we did go into the concert hall early and I had every intention of getting as near the front as I could. Sang along until I nearly lost my voice and forgot all about aching legs and feet. Today I am absolutely shattered so taking it easy housework can wait until tomorrow. Felt quite pleased with myself for the energy I seemed to have and OH made the comment that I was not a wrinkly after all, cheeky devil. There was seating as well but with a gig like this it is much better to stand so you can dance. Very well behave crowd. OH was horrified that I had put strappy mules on and said i was going to get trampled on but that didn't happen. When we came out just after 11.00 we expected to have torrential rain which had been promised but it seems as though LG have the rain instead, what a shocker of a day and it keeps getting harder and harder. We have hardly had any rain for the past 2 months and goodness know when we will. It just never seems to happen here.
Well I am off to prepare a bit of lunch for myself and no doubt I will probably have 40 winks as didn't go to bed until 1.00.
Sounds great margobird! I have a wonderful vision of you dancing the night away... and right at the front, too! A night to remember. ( A wrinklie? - Never!)
Afternoon Lindybird I see I spelt wrinklie wrong. So pleased with myself for having staying power last evening but paying for it now. Not getting a lot done today, legs not working properly, feet hurt and tired. For all that it was well worth it. Not sure how much longer I can go to standing up gigs.
Afternoon all,
Thanks for all the chat, pics etc.
Diane : Great emu picture. Dont think I would like to get too close though.
Margobird : Glad you had a great evening of dancing and singing.
Today I went to Rutland Water and managed to see 30(10) about 20 mins or so after he fledged. Remained sitting in a dead tree in front of the hide for the whole time I was there. Also saw a water rail for the first time ever. Here is a pic:
Little egret today at Rutland Water:
Lovely pic of he Little egret Alan.
Like the Little Egret, Alan. I saw one once from Dobb about 3 years ago, it was only there for a week, so I was just lucky.
I am wishing I was there now, the sun has come out this afternoon for the first time for ages!! We have flooding here, you may have heard, as well as a hosepipe ban!
Unfortunately I had a dentist appointment this morning, -prep for a crown -ugh!
If weather is ok I'll go tomorrow instead. After that got brother's family visiting.
Morning everyone: Wonderful Margobird! Can I go with you next time? Sounds like you know how to enjoy yourself ! :-) AQ: Glad you had a good natter with Wattle and friend.
Thanks all for pix and posts; off to see what needs to be done before trip to LAX this p.m.
