Hi everyone, I've not been in much to the site today, on and off. It was thought that the youngest had fledged but this is in doubt and until it is confirmed by The Team we can assume that it hasn't yet.
There have certainly been some near takeoffs and helped by the wind, the youngest has jumped and "flown" across the nest but this is all. It has been the eldest getting bolder and the middle one taking on more flights. There's time yet.
Peaceful scene here with two young on the nest and the eldest probably on the cam post or way to the left at the edge,, don't really know where he is.
Happy viewing and we'll see what to day brings. Over to the night shift.

It was a really huge fish - EJ is still feeding them with it!
Unknown said: I returned about 6 to see EJ feeding youngsters from her whopper, then she was eating it herself with two youngsters on nest, and now the third one has come back and someone's being fed again. Assume all the same fish??

It came in at about 5.30, TerryM - no doubt about it being a prize specimen! - still feeding from it as you can see from my last post!
Terry, Chick #1 flew away after having eaten; and then after a fly about came back for more!! That was chick #1 eating with EJ at the end!!
Can't imagine who is making that "I want more fish" noise as they MUST be full now!
Actually, this is now a different chick eating as I am posting this.
Great pic of #2 look at the white on it's head. The darker feathers and the wing feathers have less white edging

Looking in agan now that son and his wife has gone Thanks for all your updates and pics, they are amazing.
Thought the wind had dropped but no such luck. Two home alone, EJ has just flown off.I take it , #2 is at the back and the youngest just in front of it.
Good evening all and welcome Trush2 glad you have joined us. Thanks to all for the pics and to Heron for his very humerous comments guaranteed to make me laugh. Lindybird you are so good keeping up with the fish deliveries. I am usually in such a muddle by the end of the day I have lost the plot (again). So EJ managed to catch an absolute whopper larger than any she caught so far, what a fantastic Mum she is. Looks as though it is not quiet so windy up there nande I think I can see 2 and 3 on the nest and 1 perching on the edge. (Bet I am wrong again). Not had a lot of time to look in today as we have been in the garden. The weather forecast was completely wrong yet again, supposed to dull with drizzle. What have we got blue skies and sun all day. Going to carry on catching up now. Have a good evening all.

Now all three are on the nest.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7gkdalnRMU This is the video of earlier in the day of when #3 was so close to fledging. Ignore parts of it where I was transferring data and just move it on. It is in the first half of the video. It just shows how strong the wind was and t nearly carried it off the nest.

Lindy Heron Sandy DJoan Lynette you have all done so splendidly with your nest captures. I have so enjoyed looking and looking. Thank you. , DJoan – The three Ospreyteers ! wonderful, how on earth did you manage to get them to line up like that? :)
And three on the nest to welcome me home and 3 not having fledged. Well, OK – I may yet get to see it :)
It looks and reads like you’ve all had a good time Osp fans. Good. You all deserve it.
