Hi everyone, I've not been in much to the site today, on and off. It was thought that the youngest had fledged but this is in doubt and until it is confirmed by The Team we can assume that it hasn't yet.
There have certainly been some near takeoffs and helped by the wind, the youngest has jumped and "flown" across the nest but this is all. It has been the eldest getting bolder and the middle one taking on more flights. There's time yet.
Peaceful scene here with two young on the nest and the eldest probably on the cam post or way to the left at the edge,, don't really know where he is.
Happy viewing and we'll see what to day brings. Over to the night shift.

Hi Lynette.
Thanks for starting the new Daily Update. True story, I'd actually drafted a new Daily in Notepad but thankfully hit refresh on yetarday's thread, and saw you were about start a new thread. Not sure my mind would cope with a duplicate thread at the moment, with all the confusion over GEM identification. LOL
All quiet on the nest. Two GEMs as far as I can see. One preening, and one making us thankful that Ospreys don't snore. ;-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Don't know if anyone saw my last post. Had to delete it as it was an almost dupe due to server error message.
I have always thought that #2 had darker feathers.
We will know with certainty that #3 has fledged when we log on and there is no one on the nest LOL
Until then it is a guessing game
As for the sexes, we can all have our opinion and as someone said a few days ago this year no one will be proven wrong. :)
This year when they all leave on migration will also be a guessing game with no tags to confirm when they left the area . We will have to wait until the center tells us they have not seen a specific bird for a few days.
Every year it is something on the LG nest. This is the year of suspense, uncertainty and being unable to identify one chick from another :l
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Hi Barbara.I think this year has been about confusion on the LG nest. Ever since #3 caught up with his siblings in terms of size. At least when they were tiny they had the decency to all feed in the same formation. LOL
Hi Heron and Barbara Jean: I'm off out for an early dinner with friends in another bit; back later.
Oh fun. Got "server error" message after last post but it did post.
Hi Annette. Hope you and friends have a great dinner. :-)Getting the same "server error" message myself.Paul.

Inconsiderate chicks LOL
Have fun Annette!!
I am also getting the "server error" message , but my posts show up . It is 2 A.M at the center so this won't be fixed for quite some time
Two asleep on the nest snuggled very close. (At least I think there are only two!)
It is still very dark . One is standing on one foot and preening . I think it is #3., because I can see the white on the head of the other and that one would be #2 .
#2 is laying down and preening .
Looks like they are anxious to start their day of exploring.
