Sunday 1st April
Mrs G returns just after 2pm (time to be confirmed)
Thursday 5th April
On two separate occasions, Rutland-born female, Blue 3J, and Scottish male, Blue HR7, visit the nest. HR7 was seen around Glaslyn last year, Mrs G seems comfortable with him and they later mate.
Later in the evening there is an unringed male osprey on the scene, who looks very much like Aran. When he lands on the Glaslyn nest with the remains of a fish there is no mantling and no attempt to share the fish with Mrs G
[This male is later confirmed to be Aran]

Evening All.
Cirrus, Have you seen this level of aggression before? If so, when, please? Your explanation sounds reasonable but in admittedly only 6 seasons of watching Ospreys I've seen nothing like this (and similar behaviour at Glaslyn) before!
Edit: Sorry, I meant to say 'similar behaviour at Dyfi as well as here at Glaslyn!' Note to self, get more sleep!
Kind regards, Ann
Unknown said: why the aggression over fish now ... they are all 'fattening' up to go.
We were wondering why such aggression not over fish, CIRRUS. But maybe they're just playing safe ;)
IMAGICAT
Today from when I left off up to 15:27hr.
Much less busy than yesterday!
I've put text on most pics so I know what they are. But on this QHD display it won't fit in set borders, never mind, I just have to say that.
Misty/smudgy morning:
That flounder got well eaten and carted off!
Right past KS1!
Later... No view of ring but I put KS2 because of small necklace, but that may be misleading.
KS1:
A quick visit to nest:
I couldn't see anything "in" the nest:
No-one on MrsG's perch:
The rest of the day up to now
KS3 gets her meal:
Ravens very intrusive all day - this one was wind-buffeted, camperson managed to get quite clear shots :)
I think that a Raven, as it landed, plucked up the fish they'd earlier left over the side... however, that fish, if that's what it was, was ignored by our ospreys for the rest of the day. Can't think what else it could have been :-/
Can't remember where these should go :(
KS2's turn - hoorah! Strange how he pottered around the nest having eaten such a whole headless fish (the same kind as Aran brought for KS3):
Hours later, still picking at that twiggy/stringy stuff:
~~~ The End ~~~
Brilliant summary SCYLLA Thank you
Just a view of an empty nest but somebody was shouting a couple of minutes ago
Good morning, PATILY, and thank you :) At 07:23 I noticed that Glaslyn was not downloading, it was because Firefox was sending out other streams that had taken its place. Gutted. When I forced a start a juvie was on the perch with a fish and they're still there - can't see who it is.
KS3 :)
Uh-oh ;)
I couldn't believe it either MC but the Corvid just flew off! No sign of aggression from KS3.
Birdies LG DU update.
The two Ravens have taken over the nest now, KS3 was kinda alarm chirping just now and she's gone. I'm not able to watch live much.
