No osprey presence yesterday, but in the evening a visit from an osprey nemesis ;)

TIGER has reminded us that we mustn't jump the gun when our ospreys don't appear on-cam, or even at the Centre, for a day or two, so we wait...

Another post by Carnyx on their FB page, along with photos "Abernethy, Scotland. We were discussing what had been damaging the cables and then noticed it was only the grey cable that was affected... strange.... We replaced it and erected the mast. Within 5 minutes the culprits returned...... Crossbills."

I don't often see chaffinches at the feeder. This scene reminds me of a bag of liquorice allsorts. My favourites are always the brown and white stripey ones.
