HAPPY NEW WEEK!I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
I'm including a link to this 1-minute video just because I thought it was funny. It's a parody of the David Attenborough BBC Planet Earth scene about the Bird of Paradise male trying to attract a mate. It made me laugh out loud. I thought others maybe could use a laugh, too.
Diane - that picture of the fish and chip van is great! Thank you for giving me a smile to start my day (rather earlier than I would have chosen ...). The video made me laugh as well.
Pat and everyone: In my opening post, I originally included an historical photo of a horse-drawn fish and chip van from 1930s U.K. I thought it was interesting and endearing. However, I re-read the copyright rules, and I'm now unsure that the photo is in the public domain (copyright free). To be safe, I deleted it.
Evening all and thank you Diane - you beat me to it! I loved the photo of the fish'n'chip cart (well, at least while it was up!), but that video was a riot - and even funnier after I watched the original one (which was pretty funny in itself).
Glad some of you got some rain; hope you get more and that temps will cool down for everyone (well, except AQ maybe).
Have a good Sunday everyone.
Hi Annette: I just came on here as you posted, and was relieved to see you - those fires sound scary. Glad that all is OK with you.
It's pouring with rain here, and hammering on the roof. It's been raining for several hours, so we're hoping it's doing it at home, too.
Thanks to Diane for starting us off again. Off to look at your link now.
LOL!!! Diane!! -- the original always made me shriek!!!!
Here I am again -- Good Morning. Not slept much, just dozed since I posted in the night.
Pouring down still, at least it's doing the garden some good. My OH has his overtrousers and rainjacket hanging up to dry!! Bonnie is curled up, wet through.
Hoping to go out later to our favourite garden centre, it's supposed to rain all day so can't do much else.
Today I went on pilgrimage, 2-hour drive to the country church where my g-parents were married, g-g-par in cemetery. Celebration of its 150th anniversary. I arrived early and camera was busy.
Good morning, Linda. Almost 5 pm here. Only a tiny spattering of rain all day. I overheard many farmers discussing lack of rain.
I'll send you some rain, AQ! We have plenty here.
28°C and sunny yesterday – 14°C wild, wet and VERY windy, currently had 46mm of rain since midnight. Relying on freezer as there is no way we can get around to the pub for Sunday lunch.
