Yesterday, we were watching seven ospreys from our vantage point. The five fledged chicks were making short flights but staying pretty close to the pens. Then there were the two adults that kept flying around in the vicinity. I couldn't have imagined this a couple of years ago. Superb!

Great news. In 2005 one of the female adults brought fish to the juveniles. See Rutland August 2005
Good to hear this news Alison. Enjoy!
Birdies LG DU update.
Plenty of Adults about in the Harbour at the moment. I saw 4 this morning.

Thank you Richard.
Great photos Richard! Four is excellent.
There was a ringed adult (probably female) hanging out with the juveniles yesterday. Couldn’t read the ring unfortunately.
At a guess I would like to think it may have been CJ7, the Rutland female who was with the chicks last year, and has been seen all this summer in the harbour. If so then that bodes well for the next couple of years.
Yes, the ring was on the right leg. Tim M also thinks it may be CJ7.
Great photos RICHARD That must have been something to see and thanks too ALISON for news
Good afternoon thankyou all for the information. Looks like things are going well for this project! Will be really interesting to see who turns up next year! I wish this project every success in the future! If it wasn't for the dedicated volunteers and staff showing such huge commitment. Thanks to all
