Just checking in after my visitors left! A few spots of rain here but not what we could do with. Youngest son in law did a few garden jobs, he works so quickly. He achieved more in an hour than I would! I asked him to chop down the photinia shrub. It didn't do much for the garden. He found baby wasp bikes in one of the sheds, dealt with them. We ate out in the sittooterie, quite warm enough to do so.
"Baby wasp bikes?" Heather?
We've had very warm weather, with thick cloud: felt thundery this morning but no rain here. I've just been out, watering everything including the three lots of baby poppy plants which I had transplanted today from small trays, and our large hanging basket for by the front door. Bought some more geraniums this morning from the supermarket, so have just about finished doing my bedding for this year.
Yesterday I put the lupins I bought into a large pot, and put slug pellets in it: plenty of slimy visitors dead this morning!
We've just had a roast ham dinner with local new potatoes, yum! - we're hoping to have some of our own potatoes later this week. Had a great conversation with our granddaughter Amber on the phone earlier: she had just fallen down, getting out of the trampoline. I said, can I come and have a go on it? But she said 'No, Grandma, you'd break it!"
OG -- Thanks for the news of George - glad he's alright.
Heather - Nice for you to have your visitors.
Wasp nests being created, LINDY! Sorry, we call them 'bikes or bykes here!
LOL, Heather! -- never heard of that term. Thought your spell checker had gone crazy!
Wasp Bikes. :-)))
