It was a busy day for EJ yesterday, she was on and off the nest more frequently than usual, plus she suffered a persistent intruder.
(Moffer's snaps, my luridisation)
Who would tangle with her?! No wonder we saw no more of the intruder than a dot in the sky.
After the main event, GJ came to assist - and EJ looked strangely relaxed thereafter:
We last saw EJ as she flew off @ 18:55hr - she flew out of the left of our screen and (probably it's her) back from left to right, up and down, up and... faded into the bright sky. Where did she go?
Can you follow her?
Where did she go? Fishing !!!
In the evening VALERIE (thank you!) posted a link to ©Neil McIntyre's teaser (from his camera's viewfinder) of EJ fishing, and we expect more pics today.
The future of the DU will be decided based on daily events.
=====================
The Daily Update is for recording - with comments, snaps and videos - today's events on the nest. Banter is permitted ;) General osprey questions and discussions should be posted in the Osprey Chat thread.
IMAGICAT
The cam has been down a couple of times but refreshed back up OK :)
Trying - you will have 'liked' a different OP than the one now published - what a performance! ;)
Have definitely gone stir crazy - glanced at the cam and thought with a start "I must be on the wrong stream, it's daytime".
But it is daytime!
DAYCAM 03:51hr:
The sun has yet to show its face:
A brighter empty nest ;)
Good Morning SCYLLA and to all who follow
Thank You for starting the thread and for your very comprehensive opening post. A great summary of all the happenings yesterday.
The nest is as your pic above at the moment.
I wonder what today will bring, will we see EJ back in the nest, I hope so.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Good Morning everybody Still just the eggs to see Hope EJturns up at some point today
Lovely video of EJ flying away yesterday evening, SCYLLA
Good morning, MARY and PATILY :)
It's very quiet apart from the songs of little birds. I think the main one is a Willow Warbler.
And with that, EJ lands! With a small pipe, VALERIE ;-)
I'm waiting to see what she does - she's making as if to incubate but taking a long time to settle.
